I guess what was nice about the fortify restoration loop, for me, is 2 things. I made a ridiculously high damage bow, so i can sniper enemies at times. Then they usually charge in, or i alert them because I'm just too loud and then its back to good ole daedric mace. But i love the one shot sniper capabilities of my bow. It also kind of cuts into the monotony because it feels like you are adventuring. Plus, you get to shoot the rapids which is kind of fun.
